Where are you?
I work from Wild Magic, my private studio in Northampton, on Wellingborough Road (around a 10 minute drive from the train station). Northampton is under 3 hours to drive to from the majority of the UK
What time should I arrive?
At your appointment time, please. If you are more than 5 minutes early, please wait until then as I have lots to do prior to your arrival as well as scheduling in my own breaks.
What if I'm late?
If you are going to be more than 10 minutes late, please let me know as soon as possible. If you are more than 30 minutes late, your appointment and booking fee will be forfeited and a new one will be required to rebook.
Where shall I park?
The main road has parking restrictions but the surrounding roads leading off are free street parking. The closest are Allen Road and Lutterworth Road.
Can I bring my friend?
We'd prefer you didn't, but, if it's necessary, they can wait in the reception area. However, they may not accompany you in to the tattoo room unless for accessibility reasons.
Are there refreshments or shall I bring lunch?
We have some drinks and snacks in the shop but feel free to bring your own if you have preferred choices. You're welcome to bring your own lunch/food as long as it's kept out of the tattooing area (a drink and snack are allowed). There are plenty of shops on the high street if you need to go out and get any snacks or drinks.
What should I wear?
Something that's comfy, not too tight and most importantly - allows the full area being tattooed to be acessible and not at risk of clothing directly touching the open skin.
If you are unsure, please ask when enquiring, we are always happy to discuss ways to make the session easier
It's also worth thinking about what to wear in the immediate days after. (Nothing that will rub on the area or irritate your skin any further)
What about that night/the day after?
Please, please, PLEASE consider your plans after your tattoo. No strenuous exercise, hot tubs, excessive drinking, hiking, big days out, anything potentially pressing or rubbing on the area, sometimes work, the list goes on. The easiest way to think about it is... Would I do this with an open wound in the area in any other circumstance?
Please do not book your tattoo unless you can properly care for it in the following days.
Can I do anything else to prep for a tattoo?
You certainly can! For your skin, you can gently exfoliate and moisturise the area if you don't already, as well as drinking plenty of water in the lead up to your appointment. This helps unbelivable amounts with the tattoo process. The healthier you and your skin are, the easier it will take the ink, cope with the trauma and heal!
Help! I have an injury on the area I'm getting tattooed...
We cannot tattoo over scratches, scabs, bites or any kind of wound so please be careful and if you do sustain an injury on the area, let me know as soon as possible so we can either move the location of the tattoo or reschedule your appointment.
I need to move my appointment?
Please let me know via email as soon as possible. Unfortunately booking fees only count towards one appointment and a new one will be needed for any cancellations or reschedules unless they are made by your artist.
What aftercare methods do you use?/Do you sell aftercare?
I currently use the dry-loc pad method. I apply a pad for you and supply some for the following days. These pads soak up most of the plasma and excess ink that usually builds up with cling film or second skin. I provide full aftercare advice and information at your appointment.
